ICAP is a group self-insurance program for Iowa public entities. We provide property and casualty coverage, along with risk management services, to nearly 800 members of the Pool. This includes Iowa cities, counties, fair boards and 28E organizations.
As a benefit to ICAP members, we offer their law enforcement departments a number of specialized educational opportunities. These include claim-centric, policy-based training sessions, along with legislative and case law updates, de-escalation training and more. All of these offerings focus on the unique issues relevant to Iowa law enforcement.
